Kristine VanHoosen
Director of Operations
Kristine brings more than 15 years of experience in the early childhood field and a strong commitment to quality care. Over the past three years, she has proudly served the YWCA in a variety of leadership roles and now serves as Director of Operations. Her 25 years of experience includes a variety of roles in early childhood education and leadership, giving her a well-rounded perspective in both childcare and organizational operations.

Jacob
Jacob Comes to us with 7 years of experience working with children and is passionate about supporting school-age youth in a positive and engaging environment. He is attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK), where he earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. His dedication to helping children learn and grow, along with his enthusiasm for working with school-age students, makes him a valued part of the team.

Reyna
Reyna brings 8 years of experience in education, where she developed strong skills in classroom management, curriculum planning, staff collaboration, family engagement, and licensing compliance. Over the past three years, she has proudly served the YWCA, bringing professionalism, compassion, and a strong commitment to child safety, quality care, and regulatory standards. Her hands-on experience and dedication to supporting children, families, and staff make her a valued leader within the organization.

Peyton Scellin
Peyton brings 5 years of experience in early childhood education and family services, where she has led classrooms and supported individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. She is a graduate of the EDGE program and is a volunteer for Nebraska's Disaster Relief Team.Peyton is passionate about building strong connections with children and families and helping them thrive in a safe and supportive environment. She plays an important role as a member of the leadership team.

Alyssia
Alyssia brings 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, where she has supported initiatives focused on strengthening and supporting children and families. She also has 10 years of experience in early childhood education and is a graduate of Grand Island’s EDGE and Leadership Tomorrow programs. Her passion for community impact, leadership development, and quality care makes her a valuable part of the team.

Anela brings over 10 years of experience in childcare and is passionate about helping staff grow and excel in their roles. She is a proud graduate of Central Community College–Grand Island and earned her Associate’s degree in Business Administration. Her dedication to supporting both children and staff, along with her leadership and organizational skills, make her a valued part of the team.
